Description:
Intake temps slowing you down? Cool your intake temps with an aftermarket intercooler kit. This DIY kit is super easy to install and cheap too! Choose what options you want done for you and the price will vary. From full DIY -> Mostly complete kit. Choice is yours. This setup has been proven and tested. Using 2.5in light weigh aluminum charge pipes, all silicone couplers required with extras, all stainless steel t-bolt clamps with extras, new OEM boost sensor, and hardware & specialty tools (if needed)! This kit uses a REV9 L Type Intercooler that is PROPERLY SIZED for best performance without creating boost lag like other intercoolers out there. Standard will be: Pipes will be black, couplers will also be black. Custom stencils are available on the store!
To ensure honest relations for customers, Kits are all piece mailed and dropped shipped from our suppliers to reduce shipping costs for customers, except for custom work (intercooler work / pipe cutting and rolling). You will receive tracking for all products with notes of what each tracking goes to.
Install breakdown:
Piping used for Turbo to Intercooler Side:
First off the turbo to intercooler side. You will be reusing the plastic coupler that pre-exists on the stock intercooler setup. This isn't really that restrictive, but you can port this if you wish. This just removes with a single hose clamp. If your choose to, you can get better clamps to clamp the coupler directly to the turbo. But this is how I did it since I saw zero issues with using it. This is what the 1.75 to 2.5 coupler will be used to clamp to the turbo.
For this side in order, from turbo to intercooler I used; turbo silencer -> 1.75 to 2.5 coupler -> Small 90 pipe -> straight coupler -> small 90 pipe -> straight coupler -> straight pipe (cut to appropriate length & re-beaded) -> 90 coupler cut down -> Intercooler
Piping used for Intercooler to Throttle Body Side:
As for this side. Nothing gets reused. This is also the easier of two sides.
For this side in order, from intercooler to the throttle body I used; 90 coupler cut down -> straight pipe (cut to appropriate length & re-beaded) -> 90 degree coupler -> large 90 pipe -> straight coupler -> large 90 pipe -> straight coupler -> extra large cxracing 90 pipe -> 2.5in to 2.25 90 coupler -> throttle body
Intercooler Sensor install: (If not optioned)
You will need the 29/64 drill bit, 1/4 drill bit, m7 bolt, tap & die, the AcDelco 55573249 sensor, intercooler, and a way to clean the intercooler afterwards.
